Not your typical Christian film…

"Full Count" is the first film by Robert Eagar and is a great first effort. While the branding shows a lot of baseball, this is not a film about baseball, but about human relisiance and finding contentment no matter what the circumstances. Acting for all parts is above average for an independent production, and the message, while strong, is not forced. The scenic shots are stunningly beautiful. Despite having very little sleep and seeing it at the end of a long day, the movie held my attention and kept my mind working. There are some rather surprising plot twists and dramatic turns. While all of the cast is quite good, I found Adam Boyer and John Paul Kakos to have really carried the movie well.
Look, it's a low budget film -- you'll find more polish in a major network television drama, but the story is good, and the characters compelling. I look forward to Eagar's next film.
