Description

In this touching comedy based on the acclaimed novel by Nick Hornby, A LONG WAY DOWN centers on four strangers (Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots) who decide to end it all on New Year’s Eve.     One of the best films I've ever seen. I watched it on New Year's, and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Great cast, wonderful dialogue, and an AMAZING storyline. What more could you ask for?! (Like always, don't listen to rotten tomatoes. What a bunch of prudes.)

    The critics hated it, but they are wrong! This movie was an awesome, uplifting and gives an honest review of what people go through. It is funny, but serious. I would recommend it! Now I'm to kiss my kids!

    I loved both the movie and the book, however the movie was so weirdly different from the book that it almost seems as if 2 completely different people were given the same plot and told to elaborate as they saw fit. I would definitely recommend the movie if you haven’t read the book. Otherwise, I hope you can accept the changes.

    A good feeling movie. Gets you from the start and keeps you till the end. Lovable sort of unusual characters. Interesting story. Cheesy ending, but I'll take it.

    I’m not sure what the critics from Rotten Tomatoes were watching, but it surely could not have been this film! This movie was entertaining enough - solid plot, competent actors, a constructive message. Recommended.

    My husband and I both laughed and cried throughout this oddly-heartwarming film, which is rare since we're both in the industry. Incredible script, cast, director, music supervisor. Please don't listen to the critics because you'll miss out on a great movie!
