    This show is like Star Trek but more humor and just more fun to watch. I thought at first it would just be a goofy not so serious show but I was wrong. Hope there’s more to come.

    A really well-produced mix of Star Trek and Galaxy Quest... The Orville is out of this world fun! Every episode is excellent.

    The first season is good but it takes most of the season for the show to find its stride, especially with Seth McFarlane’s humor, but season 2 absolutely knocks it out of the park. Funny, optimistic, light hearted, gorgeous, well made show.

    The social commentary is very blunt and obvious which works well to speak to undemanding viewers. The effects are adequate. Where the show shines is the humor and the side characters. It is consistently pretty funny. It’s constantly compared to Star Trek Discovery, but Discovery is an entirely different and far more complex series so it’s not really a fair match up. They are shows with very different strengths. As it is Orville is fine but not particularly memorable. I don’t think you’ll be seeing any horror films using a mask of the captain of the Orville for the killer.

    If you are a Sci-Fi fan, then at least for me, this is the best show on TV. I can't wait for season 3, 4, 5 etc. Too good.

    The Orville is arguably the best series in 2018/2019 ... the writing/storyline is smart and just keeps getting better, the acting is top notch, and the humor is spot on. Episode 11 of this 2nd season is a personal favorite. I hope this series will last.

    Seth plays fast and loose with science and Creation. His culture of tolerance is so prevalent that violence against decency and basic human rights are accepted on Orville. Basically, it’s an immoral smorgasbord of anything goes!
