Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. In 2319, Earth has been devastated by nuclear holocaust, with survivors clustered in isolated communities, unaware of the existence of others after all forms of global communication have been extinguished. • Magic!

Logan's Run is my favorite science fiction movie of all time and I was ecstactic to find that i-Tunes offered the television series. Even though the episodes stray far from the movie plot they embody the magic of the film. This is television at its finest. Purchase this little bit of magic and enjoy!
  • So when the 2008 version of the show coming?

I'm a big freak for the movie and I've read all the books. Though the series takes liberties and it is from the seventies. It's great fun and quite campy. It is just asking to be updated like Battlestar Galactica.
  • Love it!

Yes, it's campy...yes, it's bad. It's from the 70's! If you were a kid in the 70's, you'll love this anyway. It's absolutely no worse than Buck Rogers, or Battlestar Galactica. People need to just enjoy this for what it is. Hey, iTunes...what about "Man from Atlantis"? I wouldn't mind finding that. I love being able to find things that aren't on DVD...just wish it didn't take so long to download a whole season. BTW, my 5 rating is more for being able to find this than the quality of the show.
  • Blast from the Past

For those of us who grew up in the '70s, this series is a blast from the past. There are many guest stars that you will remember from other popular TV hits of the time (Many good memories). The show is VERY '70s in the "future" technology, but that's the fun of the show. To be honest, I do not remember seeing the show when it ran in 1977. In case you forgot, that's when Star Wars made its screen debut. I loved the movie (1976) version with Michael York and had always felt like there should have been more to the story. There was! You won't find this item on DVD, so thanks iTunes!

like most shows of it's day it's a bit slow. There are some really bad episodes but also some really good ones (man out of time). A mixed bag but brings back good memories
  • One of the most interesting things I have seen

Didn't even know this existed, but is one of the more interesting spinoffs from movie to TV. It makes me want to go back and watch the movie again.
  • Great underrated 70's Sci-Fi!

I've always thought that this was a underrated show and it's great to see it again. Heather Mendez is really beautiful and one of my favorites from the 70's. If you're like me and you're sick of all the high profile CGI Sci-Fi muck these days give this great show a try! I wish that Warner would release the entire series on DVD! I hate downloading tv shows, I miss having the actual DVD's and box art.
  • Unbelievable

I cannot believe I can watch this Show. I remembered watching this show as a kid when it was first on Network TV and I have never forgetton this show in particular the Pilot episode. So watching it now is really enjoyable. I hope with the technology of making it easiser for studios to release more and more old TV shows for us to purchase. Regardless, Logans Run TV Show would definitely appeal to any Star Trek Fans because of D.C Fontana was involved with the TV Show.

I saw this when I was 13 years old and liked it. I also saw the movie, and read the books. I now realize that I had absolutely no taste. This is terrible - almost couldn't finish it.
  • Logan's short run held promise

I have a hard time going so far as to say this series is "good." But it is perhaps the most worthy attempt from the 1970's to recapture the lighting in a bottle that was the original "Star Trek." Writers with Sci-Fi creds (Harlan Ellison, David Gerrold, "Logan's Run" co-author William F. Nolan) contribute, but their efforts don't seem to pan out the gold one might expect. I was impressed with the subtle shades of the character of Francis. Had this show run longer than 14 episodes, it would have been interesting to see how Francis developed. He was the antagonist without being a smirking, closed-minded, cardboard villain. Francis has found out renewal is a lie, which should give him empathy for Logan, whether he can show it openly or not. I suspect he would not have remained a puppet of the council of elders forever. It seems possible this Francis might have moved closer to the true nature of Francis from the novel (which I won't spoil for those who have not read it), than did the Francis portrayed in the movie. I haven't seen this show since its first run when I was about 12 years old. I liked the show then, but expected to find it disappointing and cringe-worthy as an adult. But "Logan's Run" holds up pretty well, all things considered. Well, all except for the annoying "squeaky toy" sound in the opening theme. This is exactly the kind of show I'd like to see more of on iTunes. I have nostalgia for this series, but would probably never invest the bucks in a DVD set and would prefer to download a selection of episodes. Another show I would like to see is "The Man From Atlantis," which starred Patrick Duffy before he gained fame as the occasionally dead brother of J.R. Ewing on "Dallas."
