In Season Four of the classic '80s sitcom, Charles (Scott Baio) is still in charge of the Powell family including Mrs. Ellen Powell (Sandra Kerns), whose Naval officer husband is off on a ship cruising the waters of the Western Pacific; her father-in-law, Walter Powell (James Callahan), an ex-Navy man himself; and the three youngsters: Jamie (Nicole Eggert), the glamour girl; Sarah (Josie Davis), the student of the family; and Adam (Alexander Polinsky) who, like his siblings, is totally under the thrall of the charismatic Charles. Buddy Lembeck (Willie Aames) is his best friend and Lillian (Ellen Travolta) is Charles' mother who came to town for a visit and eventually took up permanent residence
