Perfect for typical hospital experience

Honestly, I enjoy being able to see the birth process, but dislike how one-sided this series is. There ARE options during birth that the hospital doesn't show, that unfortunately, many women do not know are out there. As a doula and a midwife in training, these women NEED to see that there are people who will fight for THEM as well.. and this show seems to highly push interventions and medication like candy. Unfortunately, women are taught that the ONLY way they can give birth is with pain medications and laying flat on their backs to deliver, etc... I think this show just adds to that stigma. My hope is that they will show more natural births because they ARE out there and they ARE an option! Pain does not have to be seen as such!

There are. This is a copy of a british show of the same name. iTunes doesnt have it but other places do. As a plus, watching the uk version probably WILL ease your nerves a bit. The uk women seem to have much longer & more painful labor as well as having some differences in hospital policies - just the way the birthing process is handled that made me feel better that I'd be having a child in the US instead of the UK. congrats & good luck on you big day coming up!!!!

I'm 8 months pregnant, and while this show didn't make me less nervous to give birth, it did make me even more excited to meet my little guy :) I wish there were more episodes available!
