Martha Speaks, Vol. 1

I loved this show when I was a little kid😍🐩🐶

Hello I am going into 7th grade and I still watch this show at 7:30 in the morning on weekdays. I fell in love with Martha and Skits RIGHT away! All of my friends laugh at me for liking Martha Speaks. :( It really hurt me when one of the girls in my class started to sing, "Skeeter was an average nerd!" In the same tune of the theme song. :( It really felt bad. But then I thought...if they knew the theme song then they watch it ALSO!! Know I feel confident! Thank you soo soo soo much for creating this show! If anyone is reading this I would like to thank you for reading this. ;)

I would rate this 1000000000 stars if I could! Martha speaks is one of the best shows ever! I remember in 5th grade my friends & I would sing the theme song! I almost named my dog Martha!!!!!!! Anyway, I LOVE Martha and SKITS!!!! Btw, I am in 8th grade! This show is awesome for all ages!

My son is 4 and loves this show--as do I! It is one of the few shows we'll let him watch repeatedly. His vocab has improved (as have ours, actually). So great that they've come up with more entertaining + educational shows.

"Martha Speaks" has become my 3 year old's favorite PBS show as it satisfies her hunger to learn new words in an entertaining and intellectually stimulating way. Even though the show and vocabulary is aimed at an older audience, my 3 fell in love with Martha the talking dog. My child often stops me in mid sentence to say "Wait Mom, go back. You said a word that I heard on Martha! - tell me again what that word means". The show does a good job highlighting words pertaining to a particular topic by grouping them into 2 different stories, and then reviewing them at the end. Production wise, the animation is rich and pleasant to view; the stories are fun and true to the books; and the vocabulary, along with its definition, is integrated naturally into the dialog. Regarding picture quality, I was pleased to see the episodes display full screen at high def on an HDTV connected to our computer. I will happily invest in the second season as well.

My daughter isn't even old enough to understand Martha Speaks yet but I watch it on PBS nearly everyday because the characters are so loveable and entertaining. Martha has perfect dog mannerisms, and such a sweet heart. I can't imagine any young child not loving her.
